On Saturday, March 1, Opt.in launches with a first-time appearance by the Midwest Phonography Union, an ensemble of musicians and composers who build improvised soundscapes entirely from unprocessed field recordings. Beginning at 7:30 PM, UWM, Mitchell Hall Fine Arts Cinema, B-91, the ensemble will perform one set followed by a brief Q&A roundtable with the artists. A possible second set will follow. Participants will include Glenn Bach, Isabelle Cavendish, Chris Delaurenti, Dale Kaminski, John Kannenberg, Sara Medlin, Seth Warren-Crow, and others TBA.
